Electronic Arts announced today that it's best selling college basketball game, titled [i]NCAA March Madness 07[/i], out to stores today. The game depicts Adam Morrison of the NBA Charlotte Bobcats on it's cover and is being made available for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 2 consoles. Morrison was first in the Division 1 men's basketball scoring and was made third by Charlotte in the NBA Draft. A feature of the game is the player composure ratings where the atmosphere of the court, the cheers of the crowd for your term, the excitement, agitation, or whatever feelings that come to the surface through the game affect each player.
There is also the Intensity Control where you can cause the crowd to become more excited, increase the excitement of your teammates, make you own player more calm and collected, or make your opponent more nervous of you. You can work with every group around you; students in the stands, the mascots(always fun, yes?) the cheerleaders, and the band. Don't just focus on the cheerleaders; that would not be fair.
In addition to this there is the Floor General Playcalling system which offers you individual playbooks for each team you play while you use the EA SPORTS Lockdown Stick which allows you to vary the pressure put on the basketball, cause turnovers, and hassle the players on the other team. Finally there is the Dynasty Mode which features the addition of School Pride and Recruiting features that turn your school team into a invincible fusion powered basketball team. Okay, not exactly, but the more support you get and the better players you have..well, the better.
Packed into the game at 325 Divison 1 teams composed of college and university teams and will also include Dick Vitale and Brad Nessler from ESPN behind the microphones as they narrate the game that you are orchestrating.
Recruiting features that let you build your school into a national powerhouse. The game features 325 Division I universities and colleges and the popular voices of college basketball with ESPN's Dick Vitale and Brad Nessler calling the action courtside. Also Xbox LIVE subscribers can watch college basketball game clips, excerpts from Pardon the Interruption and Around the Horn, along with interviews and analysis from ESPN Sportscenter and a bundle of other things. Podcasts from ESPN will be able to be downloaded while the game is being played, complete with clips from Dan Patrick, Mike & Mike, Stephen A. Smith and numerous other people. There'll be ESPN Radio SportsCenter, live, updated every twenty minutes along with the ESPN Ticker and ESPNews.
