In addition to another [i]Metal Gear Solid[/i] game announced for the PSP, [i]Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops[/i], something completely different for the PSP has been announced in addition. It’s not a game or a movie – it’s an interactive digital comic, based on the [i]Metal Gear Solid[/i] universe, to be titled [i]Metal Gear Solid Bande Dessinee[/i].
With Hideo Kojima directing and art by Ashley Wood, the new comic will be based upon the [i]Metal Gear Solid[/i] comic already being published in the United States. Aside from easy navigation, the digital comic will also feature various audio and visual upgrades, such as much of the artwork being converted into 3D models for two modes of play. One of these modes of “playing” the digital comic is a mission mode, where viewers can search for information in the digital comic and store it in a library. The missions involve correctly connecting pieces of information viewers have gathered by reading the comic.
