While the list of games to look forward to for the 360 is somewhat short (but growing!), the support for the Xbox Live Arcade has been absolutely electric, with a long list of great-looking titles ready to hit your 360’s hard drive, and now your PC hard drives.
The two biggest titles announced for the Live Arcade at E3 are a port of Rare’s classic 3d platformer for the N64, Banjo-Kazooie and a sequel (or something) to the 2007 smash-hit Portal, but the list is far from over there. Sequels to the two games that really made the Xbox Live Arcade what is is today are also slated in Uno Rush and Geometry Wars 2, which support the upcoming Live Avatars, and offer four-player shooting action respectively. There is also a new revamped arcade (as in, those big tall wooden boxes with sticks and big buttons you press with your fingers, rather than your thumbs) classic in Galaga Legions, made by the crew behind the heroin-like Pac-Man: Championship Edition.
And while this is all well and good, you also have to consider that this bunch is going to join the likes of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix, Samurai Showdown II and the recently-released Soul Calibur, which has the makings to be THE year to buy those stupid Live Arcade points.
