Aspyr Media announced today that it will be bringing Doom 3 to the Macintosh, according to a press release issued earlier this morning. The game is currently in development by id Software and will be published by Aspyr Media.

“DOOM 3 has instantly become a must-have title for any game fan, and we’re thrilled to be working with Aspyr in bringing this landmark game to the Macintosh,” said Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software. “Now, Macintosh owners can experience for themselves the unparalleled combination of bleeding-edge technology and edge-of-your-seat gameplay that critics and fans are raving about.”

For those that have been hiding out in caves for the past year, Doom 3 has been one of the most critically acclaimed games of the year, even garnering a 9.2 on this very site. Now Macitosh owners can see what all the fuss is about. Check back here for more updates.
