A brief note before I begin. On the scale of Final Fantasy fans, I am on the very moderate level. While I think the ideas behind the series are very cool and I am a big fan of the RPG genre, I have only played I, IV, VI, and Tactics Advance. Please keep this in mind as you read my remarks and try not to hold against me gross errors I may make with the games I have not played.
This past weekend I was fortunate enough to see the Atlanta symphony perform Dear Friends Music from Final Fantasy at the Woodruff Arts Center. In case you are unaware, the Final Fantasy series, minus the movie The Spirits Within, has had a single composer: Nobuo Uematsu. At last year
