After Sony has announced their intention to use Blu-Ray technology for their new PlayStation 3 console, both NEC and Toshiba have been pushing Microsoft to use HD-DVD technology in their uPComing console.
Ryoichi Hayatsu, chief of storage Division 1 at NEC, revealed the News during conference at CEATC in Japan. When asked about the situation, Microsoft said they couldn’t comment on the next generation console.
