Call of Duty Moved to Three Year Dev Cycle

It is official, a new Call of Duty game will be released this year in 2014. Although this years game will not be made by Treyarch, it will be by SledgehammerGames.  Sledgehammer Games was the Development Studio who aided Infinity Ward in making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Currently no one knows anything about Sledgehammers plans on how it plans to move the series forward and further innovate it, so we will just have to see later this may when they debut the next Call of Duty at E3.

Now that Sledgehammer games is developing the next Call of Duty, we will not see another Treyarch game until 2015 and another Infinity Ward game until 2016. Each developer will now have 3 years to work on a single Call of Duty game. However, the question arises of will future call of duty games be more innovative and of higher quality from its predecessor games.
