Buena Vista Interactive announced today that it will publish [i]Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge[/i] for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The new game will be the latest edition to the franchise, one that has seen its property extend to DVDs, consumer products and theme park experiences.
“The console game platform provides a compelling medium to extend the movie’s characters, storyline and environments and will help expand the franchise to new audiences,” said Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager,Buena Vista Games.
In addition, [i]The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King[/i] for the Game Boy Advance is continuing in development and will be published by Capcom.
Both [i]Oogie’s Revenge[/i] and [i]The Pumpkin King[/i] are slated to ship next year.
