The Movies Wraps Production

Developer Lionhead Studios and publisher Activision announced today that the PC version of their movie-making-simulation game The Movieshas gone gold.

The developer, known for the Black and White series, has stated that the game will hit store shelves on November 8th for PC. Console versions are planned for the PS2, Gamecube, and XBox, but no firm launch date has been announced.

The Movies allows players to create a colorful cast for the movie of their choosing. The player can then write a script of their choosing (or assign scriptwriters to do it) and they cast the roles and pick the set and start filming.

The Movies allows for a lot of creativity to flourish. Furthermore, after the movie is finished it can be sent to friends and even put up on game?s official web site (http://www.themoviesgame.com/) for the community to see and rate or even official contests.
