5 out of 5 stars Best Football Game Ever   October 23, 2008
When it comes to video game football, this is the pinnacle. The gameplay is still fun and the graphics and tackling engine are still top shelf, even all these years later. The best version is on Xbox, because you can add your own music, see the replays in full motion video instead of still, and the gameplay and graphics are better.

Best football game ever.

5 out of 5 stars UNBELIEVABLE   June 15, 2008
1st of all im going 2 start by saying the presentation on this game is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! From the Chris Berman's halftime show to his postgame show, its all unbelievable. Another thing I like about this game is that it feels full unlike madden tha gives u the "something's missing" feeling. Its gang tackling animations are also really good. Great Game, Five stars

5 out of 5 stars ESPN 2k5   May 8, 2008
One of the best games in football history. The moment I started playing I was hooked. After playing this game there is no other I would play. Totally worth it

5 out of 5 stars best football game ever.   March 4, 2008
everything about this game is perfect. people may not have thought so at the time when it first came out but, in hindsight it's obvious. no other football game before, or since it at this time, has been nearly as good on all fronts. the gameplay, the offseason controls, the commentary, and everything else you can do in the game is top notch. buy this game.

5 out of 5 stars Play this on your XBOX 360   December 28, 2007
Microsoft has released the backward compatible patch for this game (via Xbox Live), so now you can play it on your XBOX 360. The amazing thing is that it has not lost a step through the 360 emulation. The graphics are silky smooth, the game-play is still tight and the ESPN halftime and after-game show are truly the best in the business. Online matches are available, although it's much harder to find players waiting in the "lobby" these days. The strange thing is that ESPN NFL 2K5 looks better than the new All-Pro Football 2k8. I bought and sold the 2k8 because I was turned off by its' sluggish response, awkward play-calling and formation options and the ugly graphics. Basically, 2K5 was one of the best games on the original Xbox and still is one of the best football games ever made.
