A sturdy, reliable controller for your original Xbox September 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son needed a replacement controller for his original Xbox and after some searching here on Amazon this is the one that we decided to go with. We ordered on a Saturday and with our PRIME subscription we received it by Tuesday and that was important. I can only tell you what my son says about it because I haven't played on his system, but he said he is pleased with the size, feel and response of this controller. It is also compatible with the headset he has Xbox X GameCom X10 Headset for playing Halo online. I think between the price and reliability of this controller it was a good deal and worth buying. My son said 5 stars all the way!
It's Okay July 29, 2008 I wish I would have got a true xbox paddle. It works okay but the cord is shorter than our other ones and it's not as good quality. It does function fine though.
Sturdy, but annoying April 23, 2008 The controller is sturdy, and the paddles have the perfect tension in the springs. It's just the right weight and size for my hands and most of the buttons are in the right place. However, the "back" and "start" buttons are placed between the D-pad and the right joystick. This is annoying as they are traditionally placed to the left of the D-pad and below the left joystick. Below the left joystick (if you look at the picture), you will notice "turbo" and "clear" buttons, where usually you would find the "back" and "start" buttons. Since the product I received came with no manual (but plenty of advertisements), I don't know how to use them. I started using the controller today, so I guess I'll get used to reaching in a new place for "start" and "back", eventually. Aside from the button placement, this controller has a really nice feel and looks better out of the box than in the picture. If you don't use "start" or "back", buy it.
Some dreams don't last April 22, 2008 Bought this for my son's friends to use when they got together to play his xbox. Since it wasn't the main controller, it did not get that much use or abuse, but it still failed after a short time. Wouldn't buy it again.
Very disappointed March 9, 2008 Very disappointed in product. Ordered two xDream Pro Controllers and both failed within one month of purchase with moderate use. In both cases the right trigger meachanism broke. Would not buy again. Fortunately Amazon honored their 30 day return policy. Thank you Amazon. Forget you xDream.
