Best game I have ever played. June 12, 2008
Pretty much every other review on here sums up this game very well.
BUT....
A few changes to a few bosses have made this game much more difficult. A lot more bosses deflect Flying Swallow and so that makes them 500x more difficult. Bosses that do this:
Alma (second time you fight her)
Final Boss
Now they are much more difficult and you will need to actually try to beat them. Yes Alma 1.0 is still mind-numbingly difficult and she will still kill you in a matter of 10 seconds with one of her combos.
Most reviewers don't say this, but I think this is the most rewarding game I have ever finished, because once you are done you feel like you actually accomplished something rather than being "Ok well time to put it back on the shelf."
Check this game out on Xbox Originals (on the 360) or go get it used from gamestop, you will like this game.
Just be patient and you will like it.
Also, check out Ninja Gaiden II, its pretty good.

If the game is not under $15, including shipping, IT IS NOT WORTH IT!
Xbox Live offers this game for 1200 Microsoft points, which is approx. $15!
Save yourself some time any money and buy it from Xbox Live (unless you don't have 5.9gigs)

 Good game but ridiculously and overboardly hard April 26, 2008
This game is good and worth playing but it is frustratingly rudiclously hard. Having some difficulty is good but this game just goes completely overboard and after about the 30th time you die in the same level you just want to quit and never play it again.

I don't know if im alone out here but i've been getting sick of a lot of new games coming out. It just doesn't seem to be as fun as before, But Ninja Gaiden has grabbed my attention. I loved the first one, and yes, it is HARD! But all it takes is practice and eventually i beat the game. Since i've had this i've liked it. It just seems that this is a new hack and slash game genre which i believe will be considered an xbox classic.
Greastest Action Game... December 13, 2007
....ever released for the original x-box. Greatest Action game I have ever beaten.. Backwards Compatible as well so it will work on your 360. Tells a great story and the gameplay is unbelievably amazing. You will get completely lost in this story and the ending with screw up your mind!! BE WARNED!! Not for the feint of stomach or aggrivated gamer who quits after a difficult game. THIS GAME IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, but well worth every hour & every cent!
