Product Description
Worms 3D continues the history of turn based strategy featuring a bizarre and outlandish array of deliciously explosive weaponry, mad animals, crazy speech and laugh-out-loud instances in a full 3-dimensional, fully destructible environment. The gameplay remains unchanged, featuring turn-based fighting and relying on the player to judge the trajectory and strength of their shots in order to inflict maximum damage on opponents. Worms 3D is set in a more exciting and immersive game world than ever before, with the emphasis on great multiplayer action and challenging single player fun. Includes 'Wormapedia' - view the story behind some of the 'Worms' legends Customizable teams - from their names, to what they say, and to the weapons they carry! Incredible multiplayer action - play with your friends around the same console or PC. Up to 4 players sharing on the same machine. Truly Worldwide Internet gaming. Either from your office or the comfort of your own home, compete with other wormers anywhere in the world. 4 out of 5 stars From a Worms fan:   February 4, 2008
Sure it isn't the most perfect game like the other guy has said, but I enjoyed this game very much, I wish people would try it online and I don't like that it is very hard to control where you jump but other than that I love this turn-based game! But the other guy IS right, the Worms series should stick with 2-D and not 3-D...A little confusing...

1 out of 5 stars Frustrating   May 4, 2007
I love Worms for XBox 360 Arcade and got this for my XBox.
However, this game has a bunch of things that make it not very good:

1. Locks up - I've had it just lock up a nember of times

2. Menus and Data Entry screens are inconveniently designed (very poor usability):
a. When you enter your character name, you have to first delete all the existing character.
b. It always starts out in 'abc' mode and you have to cycle 3 times to get to 'Abc' mode.
c. When you enter your Team info, it is not shared between the Tutorial sessions and the Compaign sessions. WTF.
d. There are no shortcuts, you have to move around to pick everything when doing data entry
e. The Directional Pad is the only way to move around in a bunch of the menu screens (selecting your weapon, etc.) Very frustrating that neither of the thumbsticks work.

3. Joystick control feels "wrong" - I usually play FPSs with inverted Y-axis and everything about Worms3D is backwards to what I would expect for camera control, etc.

4. Camera and 3D-ness makes it hard to control your character and it is easy to fall through hole into the water that you did not even see.

I'm planning to get one of the other Worms games for the XBox in hopes that they are more fun because Worms is a great game when done right.
