cable review August 25, 2008 Personally I didn't see much difference in the old cable and the high resolution. It freed up a av port on my tv, that's about it.
Okay cables August 21, 2008 These Wii component cables Work. They are only two problems: 1, Color Of the Cables , You cant tell what color is what Tip: They're are two redish ones but look different there is a pattern on the white cables those are the audio cables. 2, Only provides 5 cables not 6. The cables work in both 16:9 and 480P i just wished that the setup was easier.
Wii HD Component Cable August 17, 2008 Greatly improved the picture quality. RCA connectors fit too loose, not the best quality, but can't beat the price for the performance.
Please Read - Why this Wii HD Cable may or May not Work for You August 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a high-quality product must-have Wii product at a low price (3rd party vendor).
Note this is the heavy-duty HD cable version (vs. the slim one). Got this at an excellent price and it does the job. Cable works wonders on my friend's 52" widescreen Samsung. On my Sony 36" tube XBR (6 years old), which is 480P HD-ready, there's some improvement but not huge. Overall, I'm satisfied and can't wait till I upgrade my TV. Note the Wii is only 480P so don't expect those jagged/boxy edges to fall off. Definitely worth it if you have a good HD TV set and can spare the component inputs (vs. coaxial).
*Note some people forget to adjust the Wii settings to output 480P (ETV/Enhanced = "HD, 480P) and widescreen/regular, which may explain why they don't see ANY improvement vs. regular coaxial. You can't just plug it in and expect the Wii settings to auto-detect and change! Meanwhile, some expect a 'true HD' miracle despite the Wii systems' limitations.
Works as described July 28, 2008 Appears to be good quality, worked as described. No issues plugging into Wii or TV. Significant improvement in graphics quality over standard when viewed on HDTV.
