Best darn game there is August 9, 2008 I bought this game from Amazon last November as a pre-order. Eleven months later I have wasted a grotesque number of hours playing the online version. This game cannot be beat. I have eleven other Xbox 360 games, including Halo 3 and Bioshock, and I have played none but COD4.
The single player game is the only video game that I have personally played all the way through. It kept my interest and kept me coming back for more. This game is awesome and I have already pre-ordered World at War, coming out in two months.
I have to add that I am in my upper 40s and play online with my nephew who is 800 miles away. We have spoke to each other more in the last three months while playing than we had in the last 10 years.
Horrible Multiplayer August 3, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
The multiplayer for this game is horrible, perhaps unless you have the best of connections to the game. I don't think it was so bad until it was updated several months after its release. If you like dying about one or two seconds after you spawn, or dying to enemies that you haven't even registered on your screen, you may actually like this game. Also, the realism factor is very low in this game. On half the maps, you're likely to find that your opposing team is made up of snipers by more than 50%. This game really has nothing to do with "modern warfare".
The single player part of the game is even worse than the multiplayer. It's more like a fantasy game than a war-action game. There is a fun level, though, where you get to fire out of a gunship. I thought that was pretty unique and interesting. I'm going to stick to the games like the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games.
Grab Your Gear, We're Goin' In... August 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
About three months ago I bought this game for the PS3 and had a great time playing through the campaign on all the difficulty levels. However, since I was using a PS3, playing online wasn't really an option. Finally (last Thursday) I wised up, traded in the PS3 and bought an Elite. Now I'm online and "Fraggin like a pro". The online experience is where this game shines. There's nothing like getting together with 5 or 6 friends and blowing the crap out of each other (ha. ha.). But seriously, the way that you level up is refreshing and gives you incentive to keep playing. The higher you rank, the better weapons you unlock. But the best part of the multi-player is that it's accessible for everyone. It's possible for anyone to just dropped in and take out a vet. All in all, it's one of the best shooters I've ever played. I highly recommend this game for purchase if you have Live. If not, the campaign is great for a rental. Hope this review helps.
Call Of duty 4 July 25, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had play all the call of duty series, but this one is best of all.
Team Killing Fun!!! July 18, 2008 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
This game is great for team killing. Once you get to level 15 you unlock hardcore team death match, and hardcore search and destroy. Hardcore search and destroy is best for team killing because there is no respawning. I like to take an RPG and take out my team right at the beginning of the level. Since there is no respawns you get some pretty good feedback from the other players over your headset LOL. The best perks to use for team killing is sonic boom, and martyrdom.
