Wii for the Disabled September 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Got the Wii console for my wife who is disabled with multilpe sclerosis. She is able to play Wii Sports from her wheelchair. Good exercise and helps with hand/eye coordination.
Finally video games I can play September 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Never been able to master the strange movements of the other game controlers. This is so much better. The games that come with the system are great. It only gets better when you add on.
Nintendo's best since the SNES! September 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nintendo really struck gold when they released the wii. excellent graphics, easy to navigate menu's online connectivity..what more could you ask for? When i was a kid i had the nes and snes. I thought the snes was the most fun to play, and i played it for many years, then i sort of got out of gaming until the wii came out. at first, i was hesitant to get one. but i played one at a family members house and i was hooked! after searching high and low for 9+ months, i finally found one and got it. brought it home and fired it up. great system. i also purchased a wireless linksys router so i could get online with my wii. that opened another world of great games thanks to nintendo's virtual console that is included with the wii. (you have to buy wii points card at retail stores or put your credit card # in to get points.) the points are then used to buy classic games like mario bros, super mario world, mario kart 64, starfox 64, megaman etc.) If you plan on playing the classic games, you will have to buy the 19.99 classic controller. this is like a snes controller and allows you to play the retro games on the wii. new titles for the virtual console are being released all the time. if your fighting the choice of to buy or not to buy a wii, trust me, get one! you will be suprised how much fun it is!
the only thing i don't like about the wii is that it CANNOT play cd's or dvds. don't know what nintendo was thinking there.
A very fun gaming system September 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son, his friends and I have had lots of fun using this gaming system. It functions very well. I'm glad I made this purchase.
Makes you work hard to win a game!! September 10, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I think Wii has brought in a new wave for gaming - making you get off your rear and actually putting an effort into the video game! Very different from the usual "sit-in-front-of-the-TV-and-hit-some-buttons" kind of games. No doubt the graphics are not as exceptional but they are good enough for me. (I own a PSP too) This is great fun for the whole family and all ages... I like it a lot and play a whole lot with my wife, who normally isnt into gaming. Wii Fit is an amazing addition (if you can get your hands on it!!)
