Play this game July 2, 2008 CJ Poffenberger (Smyrna, TN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Enchanted Arms Aside from the thousands of handheld-style cutscenes this game is pretty entertaining. I recommend playing it with the Japanese voice overs though. The English ones are just awful. My friends and I enjoyed a good laugh at the English voices on this game. It's hard to decsribe this game to be honest. The fighting system is grid-style but without any kind of terrain. Also, there are probably too many random battles when they're available. Just play it. I had a great time with it as did the people that created it I'm sure.
Surprizingly great for the price. May 1, 2008 Mustang I purchased this game for 16 dollars, and was expecting one to two hours of enjoyment at most because of the reviews on this site. I was surprized to be at hour 20 now and enjoying it even more! The graphics are definately not top notch, but they are very much viewable, and the story is what catched my attention. So far, it's very intuiative and interesting. I read that one person hated the voice of the characters, to them I must state, "I don't know, i am playing it with japanese voices and english subtitles" because simply, the japanese voices are awesome and the subs make it more of a genuine JRPG experience. Is it final fantasy? No way. Not saying it is, but it's definately a great experience and well worth the 20 bucks retail for this title. The cut scenes are basic, but get the point and story across. The action is top notch and the battle system is very fun when you get the hang of it and definately adds strategy into the mix. Overall I gave this a 4 star review. There are of course things that I would consider to improve, but for 20 dollars.... it's definately worth the purchase. Don't rent this title...Buy it!
Great Price, Very Enjoyable Turn-Based Role Player April 25, 2008 Vermifrax 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoyed the game to it's fullest. I was not a huge fan of turn-based role players but this game sold it to me. Nice environment graphics and excellent spell cast graphics. Characters were very cartonnish but it adds to the Anime feel so I didn't mind. Nice story line and game progression through it. The bosses are a bit easy. For this price it is well worth it for the hours of game play you will get out of it. I played for aroung 48 hours including afk time. Buy it if you like or think you may like turn-based role playing games. I now cannot wait for Final Fantasy.
Fantastic RPG For The PS3 February 27, 2008 granolaking (State of Bliss) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For under $20, you can't go wrong with Enchanted Arms. You'll get over 50 hours of play from this game, collecting golems that help your characters in battle as you progress. You won't be strong enough to get some of them at first, or you'll overlook them, so even after you've been through an area going back to explore it again can yield positive results. Combat is turn-based. If you're into real-time hack-n-slash this isn't going to get your blood pumping. There are so many possible party combinations that can be made with your main characters and the golems that you collect that you'll want to keep tweaking to see what crazy combos you can come up with. If you're running low on cash, there are several mini-games you can play at the casino... none of which are too exciting, but if you can learn to time stopping the slot machine wheels just right, money will be no problem for you. This is a long game. You're going to get a LOT of enjoyment out of it, especially for $20. I hope there will be more PS3 RPGs out before long, but until then, this will keep you busy for awhile.

Enchanted Arms It almost gives you the feel of a Final Fantasy game, but a whole lot easier. If you are a gamer playing a RPG for the first time, then that will greatly help you.
