5 out of 5 stars Exciting and interesting   September 2, 2008
Who ever knew that this game could be entertaining for teens and adults. I don't have much extra to say aside from you have to demo this for your self to know. I would recommend this game for adventure and puzzle seekers.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad but not meeting expectations   August 31, 2008
Not bad but so far seems like a re-run of the first Neverwinter Nights. And the graphics aren't that much better but performance is noticeably slower on my 2.33GHz MacBook Pro, even though it meets the "recommended requirements" for the game.

4 out of 5 stars A worthy role playing game   August 23, 2008
This is a very worthy role playing game on OS X, worthy enough for me to go buy an Intel-based Mac in order to play it. No regrets, it's been months and months of fun to play. Performance is acceptable on a fair-to-middlin' MacBook Pro. The overall story is well structured, and the non-player characters have personalities and their own quests which you help them with. Save often, because the game may sporadically crash (once every ~8 hours of play). There is also a problem where your world goes spinning endlessly if you had the mouse on the edge of the screen when a dialog starts with another character (saving, quitting and restarting stops the spinning).

3 out of 5 stars System requirements??????   July 31, 2008

There are no system requirements on this listing. I REALLY wanted to play this game but can't! Very frustrating!
The min requirements are:

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
*Operating System: 10.4.11, 10.5.1
*CPU Processor: Intel Chipset
*CPU Speed: 2.0 GHz
*Memory: 1 GB RAM
*Hard Disk Space: 6.5 GB
*Video Card (ATI): Radeon X1600
*Video Card (NVidia): Geforce 7600
*Video Memory (VRam): 128 MB
*Media Required: DVD-ROM

So if you have one of the original 1.83GHz macs from 2006 it will not work right!!!
The game bogs and the sound disappears after about 30 min of play. quit and relaunch fixes the problem but that is no way to play a game! Total bummer!

I had to give the review stars because amazon requires it. Mine should be zero because I haven't played it correctly with the min requirements yet
I only chose 3 as middle ground hoping it will not skew the star rating to much.

1 out of 5 stars How did this game make it past beta?   July 6, 2008

A horrid interface will have you frustrated to no end. I've had this game for 2 weeks and have reached a conclusion that it is unplayable with the player feedback interface. If you enjoyed the early Bioware games (Baldur's Gate, etc.), this game is not a successor but an unfulfilled and unfinished exploitation of a great series.

The 3d universe attempted in the game sounds great except it does nothing to enhance the game and is terribly realized. The camera controls are awful and is not a good match for a game with multiple simultaneous characters. Forget about the strategy and tactics with multiple characters found in earlier Environmental obstructions from walls and dizzying multiple viewpoints make this game a long, frustrating and stupid experience.

Demand a better experience for your money and buy a better game.
