 nice "first accessory" for new users February 28, 2005

i purchased this 1x memory card along with my game cube. a year and a half later, it is still going strong with game #12. as for my very first memory card, it's doing its job pretty well. too bad it only holds 59 slots, which fills up very quickly, especially with recent games, forcing you to make tough decisions letting go of save games... definitely does not compare to my recent purchase of 1019. to be honest, after you wear out of this cheap-o, go for the real deal, the 1019; definitely worth the investment.
More or less I'm pretty satisfied with this MadKatz memory card.

I have never had a problem with MadCatz before I got this memory card. Every time I try to save on it, the system thinks the card is corrupt. I have to tell the gamecube not to format it, and then it will try to save again, and it works... but it is a pain to have to always tell it not to format my card.

I buy Mad Catz products all the time. I have 3 of their controllers, and 6 memory cards both for Playstation2 and Game Cube. I've had most of these things for almost a year, playing with them almost every day, and I've yet to have a single problem. I trust Mad Catz implicitly, and besides, their products are usually better looking.
Not worth it December 30, 2003
Whatever money you save by getting a Mad Catz memory card instead of a Nintendo one is negated by the fact that these things suck. I've only had this memory card for like 6 months, I try and save a game one day and I get, "This memory card is corrupt and needs to be formatted." Goodbye all the time I just spent playing games for 6 months. Don't bother, just buy accessories made by Nintendo.
