5 out of 5 stars Combined games and more   January 18, 2007
6 out of 8 found this review helpful

Pokemon Emerald is like a combination of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, with a bit of a new story, with moving pokemon and a new island, the battle fronteer! What could be better than that? Because these games are combined, there are more oppertunities to catch pokemon that weren't in the other versions, and make it more interesting to see pokemon in battles or the wild. The battle fronteer makes it worthwile to play the game after it is beaten. I think this was a great idea for nintendo to do.

The game comes in good state. I enjoy this game. I play with it by hours a day. Is better that another versions because its display and graphics are much more better and the history goes on correctly.

5 out of 5 stars Good, but..   January 11, 2007

This game is a good buy, if this is your first time playing, you'll find that it is much mpre improved then the old gold/silver/crystal. If you dont know rather to choose this saphire or ruby, choose this one first.
The game is somewhat challenging and takes some brain power. I found the elite four very hard, but if you have good battle tactics, you may be able to win in 1 or two tries, the downside is, once you battle the other 3. no turning back, no healing. Thats why I reccomend stocking up on 99x hyper potions, which is what I did.
another thing is that the batle fronteir is hard, I havent won any badges there yet, and the thing is you cant use any legendarys in it. it is possible to capture groundon, kyorge, rayquaza. and then it is also possible to catch mew, deoxys, latias and latios. but they are very hrd to get, if you want to get others, then you have to transfer it through a gamecube.
I hope you found this helpful, enjoy the game.
