My grandson was so happy to get this as his first one had been taken away at school and now he knows the importance of keeping them at home.

This game is really good; it makes a good appearance of the Pokemon series, so it gets five stars from me. However, when you're leveling up your Pokemon to an average level for the next BIG battle, it can get kind of boring, so that's why I gave the "fun" rating four stars. This is my first Pokemon game, but I still really love it!
Gameplay/Storyline- 4/5: The reason this game's gameplay gets a 4 is that the gameplay is really good, but when you have the chance to do a side quest, it can get a bit annoying. Otherwise, it's a good game with a nice story line.
Controls- 3 and a half out of 5 I don't know about you, but the reason this game's controls gets a 3 and a half star is because you cannot hop up ledges, but you can hop off of them. Otherwise, the controls are like most Gameboy Advance games.
Music- 5/5 I like all game's music, but my gosh, this game's music sticks in my head more than any other game's music. Ever Grande City music: Dun dun dun, doot, doot, do do, do!(Pun fully intended)
Graphics- 4/5 The graphics of this game are very great, unlike previous Pokemon games, from what I've heard. They take up the whole screen, at least...almost.
Overall- 5/5 This game earned it. Good gameplay and storyline, good music, nice graphics and pretty good controls. You earned it, Sapphire. You have given me Sapphire Fever!
Ok, so we've got the ratings for the game parts, now lets limit it to the pros and cons.
- Pros - Over 100 hours of play - Lots of variety - Interactivity - The battle system - Good soundtrack - Cons - Some boring Pokemon - Not the most origanal storyline. - Random battles are annoying.
I know, you must be thinking "A kid wrote this?", and yes, a kid did write this. Anyway, if you ever catch sight of this game, buy it, it's a cheap price, now that it's a few years after the game came out.

Pretty good game November 29, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is O.K. I'll put down some things that it covers:
Gameplay: Walk around, talk, challenge other trainers to battles (what else is new?)The battles are pretty cool at the beginning. You're probably thinking, "How cool! Now I know what it's like in the TV show!" But after a while, it gets old. The guy with the highest speed goes first, you use one move, the other guy uses another move, blah blah blah until one of them is knocked unconsious and you get exp. When you get a certain amount, you level up and get stronger. Pretty basic for an RPG.
Graphics: Great. They hve just everything, perfect graphics. Hands down.
Sound: So-so. In some places it's really good, but in other's it just makes you sick just listening to it. Still, it's better than nothing.
I give it a 7.3 out of 10.
It is pretty good for an RPG, but I wouldn't say it's just normal. These little creatures are very loveable.
