5 out of 5 stars This device is awesome!   May 17, 2008

Very good product. Easy to use. You may be able to purchase a cheaper model if you can not get the MSN Direct in your area. It is only available in the huge cities right now. I live in north west Illinois and it is only available in Chicago, Milwaukee and Des Moines in my "area". All of these cities are at least 2 hours away from where I live.

3 out of 5 stars Great features, poor build quality   May 17, 2008

This Garmni nuvi is feature packed as far as GPS units go. Routing and points of interest database like previous Garmin's is excellent. However, when compared to the nuvi 660 which I own, Garmin seemed to have skimped on the build quality (materials) of this more recent nuvi. There is only 1 speaker (the 600 series have 2) and it's poor sounding. The screen quality (brightness and contrast) of the 700 series nuvi is inferior to the 600 series nuvi. Garmin also do not include the leather case anymore that was included in the 600 series. C'mon, talk about getting cheap!

2 out of 5 stars Would be great but Speaker Stinks!   April 27, 2008

The features are very good. The size, shape and clarity of the screen are top notch. But, none of that matters if you cannot hear the speaker. If you are in traffic and have air or heat blowing, forget it. This was so dissapointing. I am going back to my TomTom with its great speaker.

5 out of 5 stars Best item for the price   April 18, 2008

This item has worked EXACTLY as described and better. This unit picks up satelites even while I am in most buildings. I have not lost signal unless in a metal building without windows.

I Highly recommend this product. It is very nice to compare fuel prices while driving down the road, and then have it route to the fuel station of your choice.

Again, I am VERY pleased with this item.

5 out of 5 stars Does everything GPS!   April 13, 2008

I have been playing with my 780 for a couple of days and am amazed at how easy and intuitive it is to use. Bluetooth connectivity works well and not have time to add some pictures and songs to the unit, but will try that at a latter time.

Garmin's updating software is smooth and very easy to use in updating both content and various firmware for the unit.
