3 out of 5 stars Difficult to stay in ear and fell apart after a year of use   October 21, 2008
I bought these earphones after reading tons of glowing reviews about how they perfectly they fit in your ear. When I received it, it does come with several pieces to fit different size ears, but I could never find the right combination that would allow me to not adjust the earphones at all while running. I find that when I am running, I keep having to push the earphones back in. They are only a step above the earbuds that come with your ipod in terms of staying in your ears. I think my ears are medium sized. The other issue I have with it is that after less than a year of use, the earphones do not relay sound consistently. I keep having to adjust the wire, otherwise I can't hear at all from one side or the other. This is particularly an issue when running outdoors with the wind moving the wires around. I am currently shopping for a new pair of earphones for working out.

2 out of 5 stars not quite there   October 18, 2008
They sound good and fit tight, but I can't get the wire to straighten out. It's always coiled - won't lay flat. If Sennheiser could combine these earpieces with Apple's earbud wire, they'd have a real winner.

1 out of 5 stars Not Recommended. Defective Manufacturing.   October 18, 2008

I do NOT recommend the Sennheiser MX55. Earlier this year, I bought a pair and less than a month later, the plastic covers began unraveling in several places showing the bare wire underneath.

In fact, one of the user pictures on the Amazon site shows the same thing happening. It's too bad too since the sound quality was decent while it lasted.

2 out of 5 stars dont buy these for using while running   October 16, 2008

i have owned these for a couple of months. they fall out of my ears all the time. i am now upgrading to another pair of headphones. when i first bought them they held up ok. now after more time, the right ear bud falls out constantly and the one side longer than the other chord is annoying also.

5 out of 5 stars as good as it gets   October 14, 2008

For 14 bucks this is as good as it gets. I previously owned one of the sony mdr series that i'm retiring. Kid you not when it says it attaches to your ear. It doesn't make the slightest movement. The only problem is that it migh yank out your ear if the cord gets caught up with something. But then I can't expect it to know when it should let go :) ... would be nice though
