Great TV - even better when you consider low price! September 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this as Wally Mart 2 weeks ago and it worked great right out of the box with minimal 10 minutes of unpacking and setup, just like any typical Sony Bravia. Picture is great but I do like our bigger 40" Sony Bravia - just a "bigger" picture. HOWEVER, for only $686, this 32" TV just can't be beat in my opinion. Of course, we don't need 1080 technology because it's just a bedroom TV for us - no gamebox use or blu-ray. But this TV sure kicks arese compared to our old bedroom tube TV. The only thing I don't like about this TV is it takes about 12 seconds to actually come to life once it's turned on with our Comcast remote and it's a little sluggish when changing channels, especially hi-def. Our 40" Bravia that I bought 2 years ago does NOT do either of these things. I'm not sure why this one takes so long, but once it's turned on, it's ok.
non-owner, but a watcher September 23, 2008 1 out of 12 found this review helpful
After 3 hrs. of watching this very same TV yesterday in a hospital waiting room. At first I thought neat. But the longer I looked I noticed that the picture would become washed out. The far left and right edges were blurry as in warping. They had it set to CNN and whenever Wolf Blitzer stood to the side his shoulder would elongate and double in size. CNNs bottom running ticker would come and leave the screen warped and blurred. Maybe it just wasn't properly adjusted when installed.
Update: Back to same waiting room, still CNN, and someone had adjusted the picture to a smaller size. It no longer covered the whole screen. Maybe 3/4. Solved all the above problems but at the price of much screen real estate.
Plug and play September 11, 2008 This thing worked right out of the box, with no messy set-up. Amazon delivered it in 1/2 the time that they originally estimated.
What a deal September 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you are in the market for a 32" LCD Flat Screen TV this is the only one to get. The price is in the middle range between cheaper Chinese models and more expensive Korean and Japanese models AND ITS A SONY. It is a perfect TV. The picture is excellent and the HD pictures are extraordinary. I have owned, and currently own SONY TV (s), and have always been pleased with their performance and trouble free longevity. I have a 2001 Model, one of the first HD TV's, still working perfectly and I am confident this new one will do the same.
JUST GET IT. September 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was looking for a flat-screen for quite some time. I only use this TV for my XBOX 360 and display it at 720p and it looks... beautiful. I can't believe I own it, actually. I paid $650 (not including tax) at my local computer store. I am surprised there was no hitch. I've played on TV's that have a bad refresh rate, and for gaming, that's a deal-breaker, and this has no "image residuals." I can't testify to how it looks with cable, or blue-ray, but with my 360 of which I play graphic intensive games, it's pretty much perfect. Setting up the stand is easy too you just screw in the bolts and you're done. Doesn't come with a coaxial cable (for cable). I might still hook this up to my laptop for an external monitor deal, but am in no rush to do it, but it is possible and one of the reasons I bought it. Samsung is good, a few other good makers out there, this one's right there with them. Sleek looking too.
