This Nintendo DS is definitely NOT Metallic Rose. The one I received is more of a cocoa-brownish-pinkish color, so I was disappointed in that. It works great and will provide many hours of fun for my children and myself. It was a great price, too!

It was a gift for my granddaughter in New Orleans so I haven't seen it but she thinks it is wonderful

the ds is a fun little system, innovative, like the wii(which stole the motion sensing idea from sony) its lightweight, easy to carry and can survive a couple big falls. But its the games that are lacking,sure nintendogs or mario kart might be fun for a while, but are beaten easily.
the ds might be drool and impact proof for little kids if thats what you are looking for. but really, a five year old should be doing better things than playing video games 24/7
if you are looking for true hand held entertainment, get the psp!

I absolutely love it! The DS Lite is very portable and great for road trips, airline waiting periods and just to have if you need something to do if you are bored. The rose color was perfectly done, it's not so barbie pink that it hurts your eyes, but not dull where it's easy to get it lost. I would definantly recommend this to anyone who needs something to kill some time with.
