Good game but very easy - better for younger players! June 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a crossword game for my DS that would entertain me (an adult). This one is fun to play but way too easy. I chose it because I find NY Times crosswords a little too challenging for me and thought this would be better, but it isn't. Where NY Times is too challenging, Crosswords DS is too easy. Someone needs to come up with a crossword game somewhere in the middle for us "average folks"! The mechanics of the game are easy to use and very understandable, I rate that part a five! I would think this game would be great for under 12 year olds.
VERY addicting and loads of fun! June 22, 2008 This game is so much fun. I hate doing crossword puzzles, but love word search and now I love both of them! I think this game is awesome for kids. It really gets them thinking and just as good for adults!
Not sure I would purchase this again June 20, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's been kind of annoying. So far, I have only unlocked 5 puzzles on the crossword side. The word search is fun, but hard to maneuver thru the words just because of the size of the ds. Lastly, the anagrams are so-so though some of the words they say are real kind of seem flukey. The other reviews about the handwriting recognition are spot on. It does do a good job w/that. But if puzzles is your thing, get Professor Layton-that was sooo much fun.
Crosswords DS June 19, 2008 It is fun and the anagram games really make you think. The wordsearch is also really good and so is the crosswords.

I was not so impressed with this suite of Crossword puzzles--most of them are way to simple and it takes forever to get through the medium level before the harder ones are unlocked. I wish Nintendo would allow users to unlock the levels manually, rather than have the game dictate this.
That said, the game title is 'Crossword for Everyone." So don't be dissapointed when you see clues like "The cow jumped over the M___." I like that you can set the game to notify you of a wrong answer, but if you like a more challenging crossword puzzle, leave this off. More advanced crossword junkies would probably fare betting purcashing the New York Times edition, which is also avaialable in DS format
