good June 7, 2008 nice but buying it is a waste of money. cable doesn't come with it. i think it really doesn't matter if you plug it in directly your usb cable or plug your usb to this dock and then try to position your nintendo into the dock so it fits right into the usb hookup. it glows. that's all. there is nothing so exceptional about it.
Bad device June 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Within days the device didn't hold the Nintendo DS in place sufficently to charge it. It's a horrible design. I threw it away.
Cool dock, but... May 13, 2008 This dock is really nice. It's not a necessity for a DS, the charge cord included with the game does the same thing and is needed for this dock (FYI for those thinking this will replace a lost charge cord - nope, it doesn't come with one - you have to plug yours into the back of this dock.) I bought it so my daughter could just set her DS into it to charge, plus it could function as a neat nightlight on her nightstand. BUT... she has a padded skin on her DS and it doesn't fit into the dock. Without the skin it would be a nice tight fit, which is a good thing so it doesn't flip out onto the floor. One of these days she'll get tired of the pink hibiscus and surfboards on her skin and we may actually be able to use it.
July 2008 - Well, we finally get to use this dock and we LOVE it. She drops it in herself, the glow works as a nightlight (but not too bright for her) and the DS fits in the dock like a glove. We found a really nice skin from a company called DecalGirl.com. The skins are flat, stay on very well, goo-free removal and are really cool (not just for girls like the website name may suggest). Wish they sold 'em here ;)
Great For the Price! May 8, 2008 We bought this for the convenience of the "drop in" and recharge. While I agree that it is not as easy to dock and "undock" as the GBA was, it is still relatively easy for my kids to handle. I like the docking station sitting on their desk or dresser better than just the cable strewn across or dropping back behind furniture for me to fish out late at night! The blue light does not seem to distract the kids after about a week. They don't even notice it anymore, and it is not bright enough to keep them awake at night like some reviews lead you to believe. Nintendo could have made it better if they turned the blue light off when the console was fully charged, but that's another matter.

This glow dock is great! Throws a wonderful blue light that doubles as a night light for my kitchen and/or my daughters room. Very handy to keep the nintendo charged and in sight all the time. Great deal too. Highly recommended.
