Prepare to Sweat! November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little worried about spending so much money on this game, but we love it! I LOVE Wii Fit but this is a nice complement, very different from Fit and also you have the chance to get a lot more upper body exercise. Other reviewers have detailed the games, I'll just say my kids' favorite is Mine Cart Adventure, I like Pipe Slider best, if you do it right your arms will burn!
The drawbacks are the mat can slide around a little from vigorous jumping, and you have to make sure you are hitting the right spot under your feet while looking at the screen. No big deal, and it's so nice to be able to JUMP and run, which you cannot do on the Fit board.
In addition, even if you love Fit, it is nice to be able to alternate days with other physical games so you don't get tired of any of them.
Body challenge and workout for all ages November 16, 2008 My son loves it and I have competed with him. This really does provide a workout for all ages. At 37 years old I should have stretched before racing. My muscles and bones are still feeling the aftermath of the challenge.
Outdoor Challenge November 13, 2008 I've enjoyed this game to date and after one niece and nephew tried it, they wanted one of their own - as did their mother who got as involved with playing as they did. The only drawbacks are that it can be difficult to stay exactly on the mat as required for the various games and that like with other Wii games, sometimes the remote has to be held just right to get the best results. On the plus side, one can really work up a sweat and the variety of games and challenges is enough to keep interest up for a long time.
Holy Smokes I'm Sweating November 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Awesome game. Not easy to beat at the advanced levels!! The jumping around, and making sure your in the right place on the mat, excellent! I'm mean, who doesn't love to whack a mole! Heart rate really gets going playing this game. Was looking at the Jillian Michaels 2009 Ultimatum, TG I rented it, was not a good game. This however, I have played every day as part of my whole wii fit workout routine!! Can easily burn the calories with this game! Can't wait for more games like this!!!
outdoor adventure is fun and engaging. November 10, 2008 5 of my 7 grandchildren got this and all have said they love it. It is challenging, different and keeps them entertained. They see improvement as they practice. Mom and Dad can play it with them and they all are amused by the balancing and different techniques used to complete the challenges. I look forward to the next one in the series.
