Product Description Online Chess Kingdoms is set in a world many ages ago when the universe was composed of five distinct forces that were struggling against each other to gain supremacy. Players choose to battle as one of five fully 3D interactive chess sets or use a classic 3D or 2D chess set to determine the fate of the universe in the great fight between the forces. Online Chess Kingdoms not only brings classic chess to the PSP system, but it also adds new twists to classic chess rules such as a Speed Chess mode for players who want dose of quick chess on the go and breakthrough infrastructure play in which gamers join teams and play for control of territory in a persistent online world.

Can't put it down! April 22, 2008 I do not regret buying this version at all! The overall game is great. From battle animated pieces or traditional game play. Different levels and options are great! All that I can say is: that it's perfect for your travel chess cravings. Theres no pieces to loose and you can play anywhere any time with the computer, friends, or online.
no 3 Move Draw March 26, 2008 I really liked this game until I came upon a position where I had made a mistake and I could only repeat moves. After three times repeating the position it should recognize the Draw.
Needless to say, it did not, so after about 10 tries I finally gave up. Bottom line a chess game must follow the rules otherwise it is not a chess game.
NOT VERY GOOD September 7, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
THE ANIMATED CHESS BOARD IS COOL, BUT I PREFER PLAYING WITH REGULAR PIECES. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH REGULAR PIECES, THE GAME MOVES VERY SLOWLY. THE GAMEPLAY IN BETWEEN CHESS MATCHES IS TIME CONSUMING AND BORING. THE GRAPHICS ARE GOOD, BUT THERE AREN'T VERY MANY CHOICES OF BOARDS OR PIECES.
The AI level is disappointing June 26, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am not a chess master but I played quite a bit as a child/teen. After I read an interview from the firm that developped this game ("a robust AI") I was not expecting a first rate program but at least a good one. What a disappointment!! Even at the highest level, the opening library of the program is close to 0, the level during the game is low-average with some strange and bad moves from time to time. If you like chess and expect the level of an average chess computer program, do NOT buy this game, you will be disappointed. If you are a chess beginner, this game could do the trick provided that you do not progress too quickly! I also tested the on-line gaming and there was no human opponent... The AI proposed to play but the level here was really low.
Basic Chess March 26, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Was fun and adds a new twist but the difficulty is beginner level at best.
