4 out of 5 stars Great quality, annoying tangles. Skype sounds great!   June 28, 2008
Aside from the birds nest of wires you will always be unraveling, this certified Skype headset is a stand-up performer.

Purchased with only Skype usage in mind, I was pleased to find that music and movies also perform well. Treble and mid-bass response is fairly decent, bass is eh. Point being, these phones can be multi-serving if you plan to use a mic often, lessening the need to carry around two pairs.

I usually hate over the ear designs, but a small spring (which I hope won't break quickly) allows for comfortable wear over long periods.

Skype Usage: Call quality is clear and without delay over wi-fi. I did several test with both Skype to Skype and also calling landlines. There was no delay, like the delay I experience using Skype over wi-fi on my Windows Mobile phone. I don't know if there is noise canceling built-in, but it did a fair job filtering out background noise such as TV and wind while outdoors.

PROS: Great call quality for Skype, comfortable for lengthy wear
CONS: Wires, wires, wires.

This is a good product that does what it is supposed to do. The price is reasonable. It is very reliable as a headset for playing games or to use with the Skype feature on your PSP2000(Slim) system. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Sound quality is good, design is just ok.   June 5, 2008

Just picked up the skype compatible headphones for PSP for a long trip to Europe. The sound quality seems very good on initial tests from my house. Only problem I have is with the headphone design. Not a big fan of the wrap around the ear and placing one of the cables behind your head to place the other ear piece on. Nice that they seem snug to the ear but not a necessary design for something where you will not be moving around a lot when talking tied to a wifi connection.

If you would like to use skype on your psp then this is the way to go for the cost but just be aware that the overall design of the headphones is just ok.

4 out of 5 stars Works as advertised   May 29, 2008

Call quality on Skype seems to be working well with the headphones. If you have gotten accustomed to ear-bud style headphones, then these are a change, but the microphone is very unobtrusive and can be moved out of the way or shaped to conform to your head very well.

Instead of constantly switching between these and my regular PSP headphones depending on if I am using Skype or playing a game/using media, I have chosen to use these all of the time.

The only real problem is that the outside volume of this unit is higher than the ear-buds, so you may want to keep the volume down a bit.

If you travel abroad or use skpye on a regular this is great. work flawlessly in my house. As headphones they leave a little something to be desired. The design is not great. All calls are clear just like on the computer and talking to friends they all said the call quality was good.
