Great entertainment value October 8, 2008 I just got this game a couple of days ago. It includes 4 wireless controllers which are really simple to use and make the game a lot more fun. Note that the controllers are not bluetooth but you need to plug a receiver in one of the usb ports of the PS3. As for the game itself, it includes online mode and play with friends mode. There are plenty of questions to keep you entertained. The characters you select are fun to watch at first but after a while you notice they do the same thing all the time. Yesterday (see review date), the PS3 notified me there was an update for the game and if I am not wrong, I now have more characters than the ones that came from the original game. Although the game can be played by yourself or two people, it is much more fun when you have at least 3.
Great Party Game October 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Pros: Great variety of questions, nice level of difficulty in questions, wireless buzzers work great, game interface is fun & easy to use.
Cons: Character models are a little generic, lack of variety in in-game question modes.
This is my first experience with the Buzz! game series, and so far it's been very enjoyable. My wife and I invited over another couple, and we played multiple games of 4 player head-to-head matches. The questions are just about the right diffuculty, with some being easy, while others were stumpers. With 4 buzzers going, it's nice that they were all wireless, although you'll have to make sure you buy a bunch of AA batteries to power all of them. We also jumped online to check out some of the top-rated user-created quizzes. These are shorter than the regular game mode (8 questions each), but it is a nice change of pace if you don't want to play the full game. A few nitpicks; I would've liked to make my own custom character, which is a standard feature in many other games. As it is, you get to choose from about a dozen characters, pick an outfit, and that's it. Also, the game show follows the same format each time, meaning the it has the same series of sections as the game progresses (pie fight, fastest finger, etc)...we felt it could have mixed in a few other modes so that the experience is slightly different each time, and you wouldn't know which mode to expect as the game progresses. But these are minor complaints, and overall this game was a lot of fun for a few 30-year-olds. grab a few beers, order a pizza, and spend a night inside throwing pies at your friends and family.

A GREAT PARTY GAME! September 30, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'll start by saying that for once in my life I ignored the reviews upon my fiances request. She kindly reminded, "You always look at reviews and sometimes the reviews are wrong, just get it - for us!"
I'll start by saying that although it offers it, BUZZ "is not" a one player game. So don't be a loser and play by yourself and study all the question. This game is designed for more that 1 player.
Setup is simple: Plug your wireless adaptor into the USB port; sync the controls and your ready to go.
Game play is straight forward as well. Select a character, dress 'em up select a buzz sound and off you go.
BUZZ will guide you nicely through a series of rounds that contain Fastest Finger, Pie in the Face, Steal Points, Hot Potato Bomb (very funny), a wager round (Like Jeopardy where you decide how much to wager) and a TAKE YOUR TIME round where how fast you answer isn't a factor - just answer. At the end, (and this is the part I don't like) contestants go to an elevated platform, the higher the score the higher your platform that your opponent. Questions again rely on the quickest to answer. If your platform goes to the bottom by being too slow or answering incorrectly - thats it, you lose. The floor then opens up and POOF your character is gone. I did not like this last segment because your points are gone as if they never existed to begin with.
In summary its an entertaining game with high replay value and while the questions are a tad on the easy side at times don't fret I can almost guarantee the Playstation Store will have upgrades with a few months. I also would liek to have seen a character creator as well and unlockables. Like clothing and accesory upgrades. This would have made the game more personal if friends could save their character for future use. That aside kick back grab some friends and have a good time. Guys if you have your lady play DONT SELECT THE SPORTS CATAGORY it just upsets them and you'll soon hear, "SEE, THATS WHY I DON'T PLAY YOUR STUPID GAMES HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW JULIUS ERVING WASN"T A REAL DOCTOR!" Have fun gang a definet welcome to the PS3.
