not good on ps3 blue ray... August 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Will not play on ps3 blueray player. I don't know if any one wrote a review on that fact. I don't think I saw one when I went to buy it.
Do NOT buy if you plan to use the PS3 to play. August 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well I have been a avid fan of Dragon's Lair since I was a kid. The game simply won't play in the Playstation 3 Console due to software problems. Everything else that I use for my system works perfectly but for some reason the software between the system and game conflicts and results in lag time when you need to make a move.
I also looked everywhere for some type of tech support thinking that maybe there was a patch or update to my PS3 but there was nothing.
Only buy this game if you plan to use it on a standalone blu-ray player.
I'm highly disappointed I can't enjoy the game. From what I saw of the graphics the game is beautiful.
ATTENTION PS3 OWNERS!! August 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Let me start by saying I've always been a fan of Dragon's Lair. So, why did I give it 1 star? After an update within the past month for the PS3, Dragon's Lair is no longer playable on the system. Granted you can go to the main screen and select your preferences, etc. But, when you go to play the game, the game becomes unplayable after the first board. It will flash the level over and over until it returns you to the main menu screen. Perhaps Digital Leisure should have waited till the Blue Ray format was fully established before bringing out the game. Very disappointed. If I could, I'd ask for my money back.
Great game but unplayable on the PS3 July 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of my all time favorites, but completely unplayable on my PS3. It hangs... I mean forever at specific boards. Disc completely new and untouched.
Another question is: WHY IS THERE NO SUPPORT FOR THE BLU-RAY for DRAGON'S LAIR & SPACE ACE on DIGITAL LEISURE'S SITE?
Is it because they knew there are way too many glitches?
Best Version I've played to date outside of the Arcade June 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm using a PS3 to play this classic game and I must say it is just great to play this once again. I can't wait until Dragon's Lair II comes out it will be a day 1 purchase for me.
The extra features on this are a must for true Don Bluth fans. It is great to see the creators of the game get some time to talk about it.
The game itself has an Easy and a Hard setting, as well as a Home and Arcade mode. I beat the game on Easy just to play through it, and it was just as good as I remember it to be. I don't have a 5.1 stereo system hooked up so I can't judge the audio but I'm sure it helps add to the game.
Back to the features, I really enjoyed the comparison to the versions that have been available through the years and how they showed them all side by side so you can see just how much better the Blu-ray version is compared to even the DVD or Lazerdisc versions.
I was playing this game while my niece (11) and nephew (9) watched and they loved it. I explained to them it was from the same people that made "The American Tail" and the first "Land Before Time."
At any rate I'm glad that I decided to pick this one up.
