 Game of the Year is Justified August 27, 2008
This game is a true masterpiece that will bring you back again and again. The campaign is short, but is interesting and fun 100% of the time. The multiplayer though is what makes this game amazing. It has an enormous community, with dedicated fans. If your reading this, and have never played call of duty 4 before, then beware! When you try and play online, you will be slaughtered because many people have been playing this game religiously for a year, and have honed their skills down the point where you would last 10 seconds in a match before being killed. If your buying it for the campaign, then i say buy it now! this game is truly a piece of video game history. it is a must buy.
Excellent Game August 25, 2008
This video is excellent, what mas I am overawed is that when it goes off we realize movements very similar to those that we realize in the reality.

This was a really fun game. I played the single player mode and it was cool to go on the different missions. The multiplayer mode is a lot of fun, unless you're new and playing with veterans. The reason i rated it 3 stars is because the play control is absolutely terrible. It was a very poor choice to make it so you have to aim with 2 joysticks. I wanted to rate this game higher because it really is fun to play. However i just can't get over the controls. Unless you play this game 24/7 you'll have trouble aiming. I'd definitely recommend playing this game though.
Great for shooter and non shooter players alike August 11, 2008
COD 4 is a great game that's consistently fun and playable for all players. I am a casual player and I had no trouble enjoying the fast paced single player mode. The story is hardly there, but the gameplay is first rate. The guns and missions always keeps things varied and interesting. Then there is the multiplayer modes-the heart of the experience. Here you'll find the the deep weapon customization options for the hardcore, and the jump in and play gameplay for the casual gamers. I'm not that into first-person shooters and yet I found myself enjoying the free-for-all battles online, running smoothly without a single hitch.
The best, most fun shooter for everyone, nuff said.

This game was fun and well implemented but.... RIDICULOUSLY SHORT. I finished it in under 6 hours and I'm not even a very good player. I don't know how they could award this game "Game of the Year." I feel ripped off for my money.... this did not feel like a full length game.
