5 out of 5 stars The review to end all !!!!!!!!!!!!   June 15, 2005

Ok for everybody who is on the fence about giving this game a try
I'm going to make such a case for this game that anyone who reads
this review will atleast have to give this game a try and I'm going to do this in 6 steps.#1 the graphics:the graphics for this
game aren't ground breaking but they don't need to be.this games graphics are just fine you don't need to have mind blowing graphics just to make a game a blast to play.#2 the gameplay:The gameplay is very good the only problem I had was when I had 60 or
70 aliens fighting around 110 K10 aliens and even then I didn't get to much slowdown,if you want to see some slowdown try army men air attack on Ps1.#3 the plot: the plots not like movie depth
where you get a background about the background, but it dosen't need one it's plot is just fine the way it is.#4 the controls:the
controls aren't to hard but they are a bit challenging but when you spend a couple of hours on this game, the controls are just like MOH:RS.#5 the characters:the characters in this game are stunning they are very, very well done they vary from each species
as they should and there are three technology levels,1 the aliens
:are the most primitive species of the group, they kill with their
arms, tongues, tails and blood.2 the colonial marines: they are in the middle of the group between primitive and advanced.3 the predators: the most technologicaly advanced of the three, they kill with searing plasma and super sharp blades.#6 the overall:
this game overall is a great game fun to play, try getting all the breeds in one group.well that's all I've got to say about this game.

3 out of 5 stars Wish it had been on computer   June 22, 2004

I thought that this game was great. it did need more missions and a multiplayer mode. But the game really needed to be on computer like most stragey games. over all the game was not worth that i spent 50 bucks. I should have waited for it to go down or read a review first. But it really should have been on computer. overall the price on amazon is what i should have paid but is anyone came out with a starship troopers game following this type of line i think it would be worth decent money.

3 out of 5 stars Good game but seems to be lacking features   May 28, 2004

I loved this game. It did very well for a RTS on a console. One thing it needed was a skirmish or a multiplayer mode. Since it lacks these options, it's replay value ends after you beat the campaign. The campaign missions were quite challenging on hard. A good game, but you should probolly rent it before you buy it.

As a Predator fan, this game was highly disapointing. For one it was too short. It needed more missions and environments. For two in most games like this u are able to build some kind of a base and/or defense. The most u could do here was place a few mobile guns around. And that was only for the Preds and Marines. Third of all, it should not have been a strategy game, not for the PS2 console anyway. It should have been a third person game. Even if it was a first person it would have been somewhat more exciting. All in all I give it a 2 1/2 outa 5. And thats being generous.
