4 out of 5 stars Teen daughter loves it   June 30, 2008
the only thing that my daighter wishes in this game is for a variety of pets. Pretty much limitted to cats and dogs. You can have a hamster, but it's not interactive. Also you can not make decisions for the pet... only as the owner.

3 out of 5 stars Addictive then Forgettable   March 13, 2008

With any Maxis game, Sims or not, when you first play its typically addictive and then eventually gets old and you move on, this is a fun game with hidden secrets that keeps your interested a bit longer than usual but the inevitable happens and the game collects dust, glad I bought it though.

3 out of 5 stars The Sims Falls short...   October 30, 2007

As an avid player of the Sims games, I recieved this around Christmas last year. I still continue to play it, but there are some things about me that bother it. First, somebody decided to make it more kid-friendly and decided to put underwear on the characters when they're showering of bathing, but it's still blurred. WHY do that? It was fine before when it was blurred when they weren't wearing anything. Secondly, they took out a whole lot of items from the original on the XBox. The game is also slow on the Playstation 2 and can freeze if you're doing too much at once.

The game is enjoyable, and the graphics have become a bit better, but the underwear while bathing, the lack of more items and the lack of gestures to do like 'woo hoo' and makeout are annoying. The Pets don't really do anything interesting, which I believe was just a stunt to make more money.

It's an ok game, but it's not the best game in the world.

4 out of 5 stars waiting in anticipation   August 2, 2007

i orded this product yesterday, finally saved the money. so now i'm waiting on little miss snail mail. i gave this game 4 stars because i am sure it will live up to the standards that all (or most) sims games have followed. i've been addicted to the sims for around 5 years and have passed my addiction to a few along the way, i am extreamly excited about this game, possibly too excited about it. at the brink of the news that my dog of 13 years will be put to rest in 9.5 hours i think it will be very appropriate to pay homage to her in this game.. but once again i'm very excited and will post back once i get this game!
