Product Description With the PLAYSTATION 3 memory card adaptor, game save information from PlayStation and PlayStation 2 Memory Cards can now be transferred onto the PLAYSTATION 3 hard-disk drive. This allows players to access all of their old games without starting over, keep earned scores and items, and continue where they left off on their PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games.

Did what I needed it for October 13, 2008 I transferred all of my PS2 games to PS3 virtual cards. No problems with the actual transfer, but I did have a 64MB card that it would not recognize. I had to reconnect my PS2, move the saves from the 64MB to an 8MB, and then move them to the PS3. Took a few times to get them moved.
May just be a one time use item, but is the only choice if you want your PS2 games. I know other people with a PS2, so I may be able to share some of the cost.
Only used it once September 24, 2008 It works fine and does what it is supposed to do, but I've only used it once. Find a friend that has it and borrow it.
works very well September 8, 2008 If you plan on using your PS3 to play PS1 and/or PS2 games, you definitely should get this to transfer your old saves. You just connect it to the system with a usb cable, and copy the saves. It does not delete the saves from the old memory card, it only copies them. Very easy, works very well. It can also be used to copy saves back the other way, in case you want to use your new save data in your PS1/PS2.
Works Great With My Sony Memory Cards August 30, 2008 Works how it should. Best if you can borrow it from someone unless you switch between Playstations often, then you'll need one so you can save and load from it frequently. Great product
One and Done August 26, 2008 The transfer was really simple and didn't take long either. I would suggest looking online for transfer instructions for the non-tech savvy. I would also recommend buying this product used cause after i used it once I found no need to keep it. I'm sure the used product would be just as effective as a new one.
