this is a great classic rpg! October 7, 2008 I remember the first time i played a couple years ago, this was one of the best rpgs i ever played. this game had a unique characters and a great plot! I didn't expect to see this game remade to the psp but when i did i wanted to relive and finish this great game.
better than i expected October 1, 2008 this game is awesome!! plays just like the old ones. this is the one i play the most
Good classic July 28, 2008 After finding out that Star Ocean 1 and 2 were coming out for the PSP I tried to research some of my favorite PSX and other classic RPG's. I'm still not sure why BOF III did not come out in North America, but I am glad I found it and still play it all of the way through. The shipping was a lot faster than I expected and the game was in perfect condition.
Not worth it. November 9, 2007 0 out of 11 found this review helpful
Total waste of my money. The game is BORING! I don't why people praised it so much. Though the Dragon transformations are cool. But it's still not worth $40. There are other games out there you can try but I definitely wouldn't recommend this one.
Portable version of a classic RPG October 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Breath of fire 3 was a classic when it first came out and widely considered the best in the series. Many might criticize the fact that the game is a re-release on a portable, however for someone who travels often, it is far more practical to own a portable system, such as a psp. A few extra features have been added in this release, such as a seperate fishing minigame, which is simple but fun, as is the fishing game in the actual storyline. Incidently, being the U.K. version, there are very little noticeable changes to the game. It is actually perplexing as to why a North American version has not yet been released. Finally, everytime a psp version of a PSX or PS2 game is released, people love to whine about long load times. Thats the tradeoff of the psp. The technology of it has not yet caught up to consoles in terms of loading speeds for the most part. In other words: the more complex the game, the longer the load times will be. If you look at the big picture, it's actually a small price to pay for the convenience of the system. If you like to nitpick over details like that, then don't buy portable.
