Product Description
Fatal Frame 3: The Tormented is a haunting Japanese style horror game where nightmares become reality. A young woman named Rei is having twisted nightmares. These dark dreams take her to the "House of Sleep", where she encounters hideously tortured souls who are being overtaken by a curse. Meanwhile, a deadly tattoo and deadllier secrets of life and death are waiting to destory her, unless she is quick enough to stop it. But Rei's dreams is only the beginning of the nightmare, making Fatal Frame III: The Tormented the most terrifying virtual experience to date.

5 out of 5 stars -   August 31, 2008
Brand new in box, came on schedule. Very satisfied, even though was wary about the seller's negative reviews. They were 100% OK with me. I'd buy from them again.

5 out of 5 stars Fatal Frame Knows Horror   June 22, 2008
I was freaked out when I played Fatal Frame 1 even more when I played II. And then came fatal Frame III and it blew my mind. All the game critics who complain about the camera fights suck dont know how to play the game. Fatal Frame puts you in perspective as if you really in a scary position. If you had a ghost in real life to try and spook you out, do you really think your going to take time to take a descent picture. By the time you get the camera out, the ghost is in your face. Then you snap the picture. Theres where you get the mega points and buy upgrades for the camera. You can even get upgrades that allow you to "freeze" the ghost and he or she stands still for about 5 sec which gives you time to get a bout 3 awsome pics that lead to major points. Also people who compaire this game to Resident Evil and Silent Hill are insane. The game play and story line are no where near the same. Resident Evil deals with zombies not ghosts just like Silent Hill. So RE and SH are the same story line but Fatal Frame deals with spirits ONLY. Get your facts straight people. I believe theres one person on this page that said this game plays like RE but says He never played the RE games. If youve never played the game how can you say that it plays the same as another. Well hope this reveiw helps someone out. thanks for taking the time reading this long A$$ review

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed ... again ...   April 3, 2007

Fatal Frame III AKA Project Zero 3, I must say, is a disappointed for me and probably other fans of the Silent Hill or Resident Evil series. I've never played any of the Resident Evil games, but I guess I am going to have to now, because as I understand it Resident Evil games play like Silent Hill. The Fatal Frame and Clock Tower series do not.

The graphics and sound are great, but not particularly remarkable so that you forget the fact that you've got nothing but a pain in the arse camera to fend off ghosts with which, by the way, are almost too fast for you to take a pictures for points with.

God .. and the reading? Pages upon pages of it. If I wasn't a student, a mother, and a terrible wife, I'd probably have a lot more time to read all the "interesting story revealing" text, but I don't.

I don't have time to wake up, run down stairs, talk to suki (forgot her name), send her on infomissions, develop more film, run back up stairs, force myself to sleep, have another nightmare where I run through a not all that spooky villiage trying to take pictures of ghosts who are too fast for me and my clumsy camera until I get to the boss who is even more difficult to fatally frame! ARGH!

I only have time to quickly turn on my PS2, wait for all the loading screens, and lay down the law on creepy monsters whilst solving marginally annoying puzzels until I get to the big boss where it may take a couple of lives until I finally work him (or her) over. Now that's fun!

Fatal frame 3 is NOT for people who have time management problems. It is NOT for people who just want to kill monsters with whatever artillery the software developer dreams up. It is for people who have a lot of time, patience, who like to read. I like to read. Novels. Not video game storylines. FF3 does not keep it simple.

I gave it two stars because the graphics are pretty. But folks, don't buy this unless you're really hard up on horror survival games to play. Same goes for Clock Tower 3.

2 out of 5 stars What a let down! Fatal Frame 1 and 2 were MUCH more fun!   February 15, 2007

I was so very excited to play this game because I LOVED the first and ESPECIALLY the second, but it was a huge let down. Every thing is way too wordy and the monsters suck to try to kill compared with the first so it is hard but mostly it is just BORING because there is so much READING! Don't get me wrong, I love games with mysteries but all the reading was just stupid stuff that didn't matter and there would be huge long paragraphs of it! Don't waste your money... =(
