5 out of 5 stars Smart choice for PSP/PS3   June 9, 2008
I bought this product to use with both my new PSP-2000 & PS3 (80 GB). I actually used it on both systems this past weekend to transfer files back & forth.

First, I downloaded the free PSP game that came with my PSP purchase (red GoW version) to my PS3, which I then installed on my PS3 & then copied to this memory stick, which I can now use to play on my PSP. Next, I used this MS to transfer MP3 files from my computer to my PSP & PS3. I have between 4-5 GB worth of MP3 files so I filled this MS to capacity, copied the files to my PS3 then deleted them to clear space. I repeated this twice. Next, I just copied the remaining files & then went through & kept over 1 GB of MP3 files on the MS for use with my PSP, deleting the rest to free up some space. I encountered no problems of any kind & the MS really does store up to 2 GB worth of data.

I also started playing God of War: Chains of Olympus to test the game saving capability, it saved as expected & the save file was with the recommended size on the game packaging. The read/write access to this MS was very fast esp. for game saves. I would Highly Recommend this device for use with your PSP & it even has plenty of room to use with your PS3 as you can see.

Value wise this seems like the ideal choice as it is not that much more than the 1 GB model @ twice the capacity. The 4 GB model is not enough of a deal to warrant the purchase plus this is plenty of space for non-permanent storage. My suggestion would be to keep all of your files on larger capacity drives, backing them up & use this device to swap in & out only the files that you will be using in the near future.

5 out of 5 stars Just like I ordered   October 12, 2007
I bought this and was a little weary because of the recent reviews, but mine is EXACTLY as described. LOVE IT!

IF you're reading this now, it will probably be for a listing for a 2GB card, but when I ordered it, it said 4GB. Read the other reviews for confirmation

I was looking forward to having a 4MB memory stick to put all my photos and mp3 on my PSP. Imagine my disappointment when I got a puny 2GB stick from Amazon. False advertising! Enough people must have complained as Amazon seems to no longer sell this. I hope everyone got their money back.

Guess what, you are purchasing a 2 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Don't let the description fool you. I've ordered and got disappointed twice to find that what I ordered was not a "4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo" as listed. Back when I had ordered this, even the picture was 4GB. They've fixed the image, but somehow the description is not updated. Amazon was quick to refund my money, but left me in the order and return process for weeks till I figures that it's fruitless to continue to return to get the "4GB" stick. Anyway, there are other items with higher cost out there. I'm sure they are fine. Just not this one. Be careful. Anyway, this review is not intended to make Amazon look bad. It's just that the advertisement and picture are not in Sync. I've advised customer service, but they have not completely fixed the issue.
