Moderately Above Average October 2, 2008
I would have to say this product is only O.K. My personal experience is that the mic has to be practically in your mouth to be heard. Whereas this might be a personal audio problem, it could also be the hardware. Also, it is better than the larger, bulkier headsets, but it does tend to hurt immensely after extended periods of time.
As far as that, everything works fine, which seems to be a wonder for these things.

I have used Logitech headsets for several years and I am glad to see that the Logitech Extreme PC Gaming headset has been redesigned with a more sturdy frame and a recessed mute switch. I always keep a spare because i sometime get rough on the headset during extreme gaming. So far this one has stood up to the test.
Great quality, great price September 24, 2008
I bought my pair over a year ago and it's still working pretty well, even after my 6 year old has used it as a toy. I bought it at around $[...], I see its now about $[...], but its definitely worth the extra bucks. The quality is excellent, the mic works like a charm. I use it for long hours play sessions of WoW, and conferences in ventrilo and everyone can hear me very good, and there's no noicy interferences. My group has even asked me about my headset and many were surprised of how cheap and good mine were.
I definitely recommend it to anyone. If you have sensitive ears, after a couple of hours it might hurt a little. What I've done is add some foam to the plastic near my ear and secure it with some scotch tape and that has worked very good for me. Maybe if logitech does this little extra manufacture they'll have the greatest headset by dollar spent there is out there. Even without this, I think its the best quality for the price out there, and I've tried many different headsets from my friends, in all price ranges.Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset (980233-0403)
Great mic and sound, comfortable fit September 14, 2008
I find this headset a comfortable fit, even wearing glasses, as I do. I use the headset for creating videos in Jing, and for podcasting and have found the sound quality exceptional...all at an inexpensive price.
 Not so extreme September 10, 2008
The sound quality was not extreme in the least, bass in music and game distorts threw these earphones. Was not what I expected from Logitech. Not to mention that the wire comes pre-pintched in the packaging near the volume control which means a short will be soon happen....going back to Plantronics made headsets
