This is a great portable system! It has very good graphics. When I turn the sound on the highest level, it sounds even louder than my DS Lite! Unlike some portables, it has a backlight so you can see the screen in the dark. The control layout is comfortable and does not make your hands cramped. The screen is huge, about the size of a DS Lite screen. It has a game library of over 200 titles, from the classic Pac-Man, to Sonic the Hedgehog. If you're looking for a fun portable system, the Sega Game Gear is for you.

How are those people comparing the GBA and GG when they aren't even competitors of the same time. The GG is the best for it's time and is good for now.
Pros
- Durable and not delicate like many portables.
- Big screen
- Very Bright Backlight and very little glare.
- Over 200 games and sega exclusives.
- Loud audio when compared to all portables.
Cons
- Big, making it less portable.
- 6 batteries, 5 hours {do the math}
- No longer making games so they are hard to find.
In the end I would say it is still my favorite gaming system after 16 years, and just now being met in superiority.

You guys are cramping us GG fans! Sure, GBA is great, but so is Game Gear! Listen, stupid GG haters who say " Don't buy GG" and "GG is a loser"! If I want GG games like GARFIELD IN CAUGHT IN THE ACT, EARTHWORM JIM, and BUGS BUNNY IN DOUBLE TROUBLE, then I'll get a Game Gear!

If you don't wan't to spend tons of money on a gameboy, your looking at the right game system. One suggestion before you buy this is to locate your nearest Game Crazy.(They're usually next to a Hollywood Video.) Rememer, the reson you want to go to Game Crazy is to either buy a Power Back or AC adapter. If you have a Sega genesis 2 or 3, just use the power supply. Some games that would be nice are Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Sonic Chaos. Columns is another good one. One drawback is that the system might have a "funky" power switch. It may not turn on the first time. to fix this, have the clutz in your family nearly drop it. I hope this review has helped you.
