5 out of 5 stars Shinobi: One of the Games That Got Me Started   June 21, 2007
Shinobi is possibly one of the most underrated and completely lost in the annals of history. It played like a Mega Man game in its classic side-scrolling adventure style, not to mentions the ability to switch on the fly to other collected powers. However, this game has something no Mega Man game had: NINJAS. Yes. I remember that my older cousin had a Game Gear and this game. Needless to say, I would go over for a family gathering, find the Game Gear, hide in an area where no one would bother me. I was 8. Anyway, from one gamer to any other reading this, I highly HIGHLY recommend not only purchasing a Game Gear (Infinitely superior to original Game Boy and way too ahead of its time, much like Tron, therefore, under-appreciated. Oh yeah, and it had over A THOUSAND TIMES MORE COLOR THAN THE GAME BOY!), but this game as well. Absolutely.

4 out of 5 stars Shinobi Cons/Pros   April 1, 2002

This game is very cool and different from other game gear games. The graphics are about as good as the ones in game boy advance.

Pros
-choose where you start
-lots of things to collect
-not to hard/not to easy

Cons
-becomes a bit to hard in parts for beginners
-Boss levels become bit difficult
