MLB Power Pros 2008 delivers a unique flair to America's favorite pastime with an original visual style, pick-up-and-play gameplay mechanics and several deep gameplay modes. Gamers also get the opportunity to act as general manager and control the destiny of their own franchise in Season mode, or engage in entertaining role-playing story modes such as Success and MLB Life modes. This is the most famous and popular baseball game in Japan.
Children, students, adults, old people, ladies, and gentlemen, all of them love this series for NPB(Japanese National Pro Baseball).
"POWER PROS" is known as "Pawamajor" in Japan.
This is the major league version of "Pawapuro" series.
Although game part is great, but I don't love "Pawamajor" or "Pawapuro"
not so "Pawapuro kun Pocket".
Pawapuro kun Pocket series are for the portable game hards like GB, GBA, and NDS.
So they have not a great graphics at the game part, but instead, Pawapuro kun Pocket series
traditionally have the best scenario or story in all base ball games.
I hope POWER PROS 2009 will be the nice story game.

Most Wii owners start with Wii Sports. The baseball game in there is pretty basic but enough fun to point at Wii's potential. MLB Pro can be considered as a spruced up version, with much better graphics and real MLB rosters. It becomes my son's favorite Wii game instantly. We have had a lot of good time playing against each other.
The solo part of the game is too easy, however. My son, on his first try, beats the CPU 12-0 in 3 innings. He never plays solo again. Unfortunately and strangely, the game does not come with different difficulty levels.

Really fun baseball game, great physics, ability to alter difficulty to your skill level. Deeps stats, and of course, really cute players. Only downside is that roster updates would be nice.

very sophisticated game with lots of options. looks like many of them require major time commitment. Haven't played enough yet to give an in-depth review but it's great fun so far!

Quick question for those that have bought this. When swinging the bat do I swing the wii stick or is it button pressing?
