Pariduse Island August 22, 2008 I recently purchased this game and love it! Only issue I had was how I could use two remotes. finally figured it out. Need easy layman terms to explain how to set it up for us 50 and over! However i love the game of mini-golf! Volleyball is fun but dont care for the camera movements at times. All in all, this game is a must for your collection of sport games!
Not worth the whole $40 August 19, 2008 I like this game I really do, now if I could do it all over again would I pay 40 bucks, no I wouldn't. Mini golf is my favorite, again this won't be nominated for Wii game of the year but to pay 20-25 bucks for it would be worth the price..
okay game, pretty slow June 29, 2008 I bought summer sports thinking it would be like wii sports. It has a lot of different games and some of them are fun, but for the most part, it's pretty slow. My favorites are mini golf and horseshoes. The basketball games, volleyball, and badminton are just frustrating. I had hoped for a lot more. There are some much better sports games out there for Wii.
Summer Sports Review June 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The game has a couple of different games. Volley ball is hard and not much fun due to the repetitiveness of the controls and play. The others (horseshoes, mini golf, lawn darts) are fun and just take a bit of getting use to. They are enjoyable. The game lacks the use of the miis and the control are at times sporadic. Overall i think its fun and it gives a little more diversity to the sports that you can play on the wii. I have been waiting a while for horseshoes and i am glad someone finally put it out. Granted the game could be better but take what ya can get for now.
Another example of horrible Wii shovelware June 1, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
There are so many great games for the Wii and they have been selling so well that it has attracted less reputable companies to throw together crap as fast as they can in order to get in on the action. This is one of those games.
Right when we started playing the poor quality of the menus and navigation were a warning of the bad gameplay that was to come. We started with basketball (a game of HORSE) but there were no indicators of aiming or how hard you needed to 'throw' the ball. It seemed like it was completely random. Next was horseshoes, which suffered from the same problems. We tried two more minigames before immediately taking it back to the store for a refund which, surprisingly, we got.
This game is horrible. Nintendo would do well to at least require some minimal level of quality screening before they allow game developers to use their branding.
Please don't buy this.
