4 out of 5 stars Good but would be better wireless   October 3, 2008
I like the Hori Fight stick, it takes a bit to get used to. The only thing that would of had it better would have been a longer cord or wireless, I have to sit on the egde of my chair to use it

5 out of 5 stars Closest to Arcade Style Without the Quarters   October 1, 2008
This is my first arcade style stick and I am please with the experience. As a perspective, I am an light/moderate gamer on consoles and PC.

Pro:
- The stick is good for SC4. Makes playing the game a lot for enjoyable instead of being cramp using the PS3 controller. As previously mentioned, makes creating combos and other moves with SC4 easier than would be otherwise.

Con:
- this is comes with a long cord, so you're limited by the length. Shouldn't be a problem if your seat is less 6 feet or less from the tube.
- Controls are responsive most of the time but there are minor situations when it doesn't response as expected.
- the three mode (Fast, Normal, Slow) seems useless @ times. I've noticed on many occasions the mode will change on me without me touching it. Maybe happening while game play....but anyway its sensitive and the mode can cause problems during game play if you don't watch it.

Even though I listed more cons than pros, the experience and enjoyment you get with the game like SC4 using the arcade stick out weight the minor issues. Worst scenario - you can always go back to using the PS3 controller.

5 out of 5 stars Worth every cent   September 26, 2008
This arcade stick was just what I was looking for. It takes some time to get used to it but it is a very well made stick; it even feels more comfortable than an actual arcade sytem's stick. It is a nice buy and if you love fighting games i would not let this cheap but very durable stick go to waste; a must buy.

5 out of 5 stars Hori   September 26, 2008
this arcade stick is the best one you can if you don't have the time to build one yourselves. works great and have not had any problems with it. Hori has always made a good product and this one lives up to its name

3 out of 5 stars It's a good place to start.......but   September 21, 2008
When I decided to start playing fighting games again, I looked for some joysticks that would work well with a PS3. On the stock side, this is pretty much the only thing that I could find outside of importing something from play-asia.

I liked it a lot at first, even though I wish the layout of the buttons could be rotated about 20 degrees counterclockwise. Oh well!

As I use it more and more, it really seems like the buttons are getting unresponsive at times. Even while playing in training mode, often times while performing attacks in SC that are are easy to do (such as BB) it will only input the first command. This makes things such as Taki's WR,BKB extremely risky to do, because the move is not performed a lot.

I had zero problem with this move when I first got it.

It is hard to say, but I've only logged about 70 hours into the game so far, and I'm already looking to buy another stick.

I think I'm going to end up investing in a custom made stick, but I will cringe at what that is going to cost me. Oh well!

In short? Consider these a stop gap product. If you are not sure you would prefer using a joystick, pick up one of these to try it out. If you like it, and stick with the game, invest in something custom made.

If you are sure, skip this thing altogether.

By the way, the 'PS' button on this stick does not turn your PS3 on, you have to turn it on with a standard controller or by pressing the button on the console. It works as it should once the unit is powered on though.
