 Worst Packaging Ever December 1, 2008
I love the Simpsons and these episodes are no exception, but the packaging is awful. The discs are in tight cardboard which isn't even clear which side your supposed to pry the disc out of. I think I'll throw the box out and put the discs in a book.

I'm glad that my dvds showed up on time. also glad for the fact that i was able to find the simpsons 11th season dvd set on amazon after i went to several places that didnt have it.
Worst packaging yet! November 29, 2008
Long time Simpsons fan. I own every season and of course I have no complaints about the content. But the packaging is horrible. The DVDs are held in individual sleaves of cardboard which slip in similar to old vinyl. However sleaves are all attached as part of another gimicky piece of artwork. Removal and insertion of the DVD's is similar to a game of operation, but instead of a buzzer, you ruin a DVD. Good Job!!!
Will this discourage me from buying the next season? Absolutely not. But given Amazon's poor description of the different types of packaging, I will buy the next season in a brick and mortar to avoid buying the worst of the two released packages.

What is there to say about the Simpsons that hasn't all ready been said. If you love The Simpsons you all ready own this collection, along with the other 10 volumes. However if you're somehow new to this craze you might want to start at the beginning of the series with season 1. The 11th season of The Simpsons set the series in a diferent direction with several major events, characters and some far fetched plot lines, even for Springfield. It is a terrific season with a ton of laughs but it's not what made the series great, and will be appreciated much more in order. Although few shows in the last 20 years follow chronicle order to require sequential viewing , the true genius of the show is only highlighted with its evolution. The content recives 5 stars but it looses a star for the packaging, although extremely gorgeous it's difficult to remove the disks with out minor damage to the cardboard sleeves.

What did they save by doing away with the trays? 30 a unit?
