Everyone above me is a moron, more or less! December 2, 2005 So, not the one that explained a gig is 1K megs. Although if you didn't know that, your computer is broken. You need to unplug it, pack it up, take it to the store you purchased it at and say "I'm sorry, I must return this. I'm too F#@&ing stupid to own a computer". OK, the card. As if anyone doesn't know now if you are into your xbox at all; the memory card, in conjunction with Action replay software or something similar to download a hacked save game will allow you to softmod the xbox, without ever opening the box. 3 games work, google it. Finally, the Xbox HD is 8-10 gigs depending on version from what I've read. After adding a few cd's for soundtracks, a bunch of games and what the xbox came with on the drive, you're not looking at a horribly large amount of space for these things. The 120+ gig drives are used because once the xbox is modded, soft or hard, you can save Xbox games on the drive (rent to own anyone?), ftp to it, download games, it has a media center program written for it. You name it, people have usually built it or done it with an xbox. You should google the xbox cluster. Ok, enough. Ending with an appropriate quote dedicated to those who came before me ... "It is better to be silent and be thought an idiot than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."
It's a memory card July 29, 2003 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This, like other memory cards, is a memory card. It has no spectacular features, and I don't expect to get any from a memory card. Sometimes my X-Box gamesaves will mess up on the Hard Drive, so I keep a backup of them on this nice little memory card. Of course, if you don't like tugging your Xbox and a network cable to a friends house, it's nice to have since you can share saves. And by the way... the Xbox HD is 10 gigabytes, a gig is only 1,000 megs, and thus the Xbox HD has 10,000 megs of memory compared to the memory cards 8 megs. It's not 10,000,000, or 120,000,000,000,000,000,000, it's just 10,000.
Good but not great. July 14, 2003 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Get this if you go to your freinds and they also have an xbox but if you dont go to a freinds house every couple of days DONT buy this! X box has lots of memory on it already and you can buy new hard drives for them to so the 120 gigs of space(like anyone needs that much) any way the memory card is the PS2 so it isnt bad just somthing you shouldnt buy unless like i said you almost live at your freind's houses.
great portable gaming May 20, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you want to show your friend your progress on his Xbox, just bring the card to their house.A great way to keep your gaming portable, yet be careful what you save on it, it only has 8 megabytes on it.
Totally not worth it! May 13, 2003 6 out of 18 found this review helpful
Let see...the X-Box console comes preloaded with 10 GigaBytes or so of hard disk space. This small memory card comes with 8 megabytes which is nothing compared to a whomping 10 GigaBytes (which is 10,000,000 megabytes!) You will never really run out of space with the hard drive...
