Product Description
Intec now offers the Wireless A/V Selector with Multi-Tap. It allows users to connect their new PS2 plus three more additional components to their TV. The remote control allows easy switching from one component to the next. No more connecting and disconnecting a console, DVD player, and/or digital and video cameras to their TV!

5 out of 5 stars Execelent!!!   November 2, 2008

I give it a 100/100, the remote control is very useful. And I can connect my DVD, PS2, CABLE BOX, and manage it very easy. it's perfect for any one.
My slim PS2 looks awesome over it, and I have four wireless controls that works perfectly. Buy it, it's a great price.

5 out of 5 stars A/V Multi Tap with Controller actually works GREAT!   July 7, 2007

***EDIT*** I just found out the controller that comes with this multi tap will actually turn off, on, or RESET the PS2 !!! An option that I really like that doens't come with the Sony Controllers.

So before buying this I read the reviews because it had such a low score. But when I finally ordered it I realized the low score was completely user error. I actually think I should explain a couple things that people complained about.

1. It doesn't fit into the controller slot. (Well if you just push a little harder on the bottom piece it fits perfect.

2. My controllers don't work with it. (If you're using a 3rd party controller there is a high probability it won't work. Make sure you are using a SONY licensed controller.)

3. Doesn't work with my game. (I only use this multi tap for multi games of 3 or more. It will not work with a lot of 2 player games. Also I suggest plugging the multi tap into the second controller slot if it doesn't work in the first slot)

4. People pull on the controllers too hard and it pulls the multi tap from right under the ps2. (I suggest using Logitech wireless controllers. They are SONY certified, have extremely long range, and no cords to ever worry about! Buy some decent rechargeable batteries (Energizer, duracell) and you're all set.

For my own complaints (which aren't much)

1. I don't really see the use for having an A/V selector built in that aren't gold plated!. Sure it's a nice feature but I'd rather have a fan cooling off my ps2 instead.

2. It would be nice if I could leave it plugged in the controller slot so I don't have to disconnect and reconnect it when I want to play a 1 or 2 player game. (But honestly, how often will I have 3 or more people over to play a game?)

Overall I really like the design, the PS2 just sits on top and nothing is in the way. I've tried 3 different models and this is by far the best multi tap out there.

3 out of 5 stars Does not work   April 7, 2006

In short, this does not work. If you know of a better multitap, an AV selector and controller, stop reading this review and buy them now. Firstly, I view the main fuction of this product as a mulitap, but it does not work at all in that respect. Secondly, I bought it for its A/V selection and as a way to convert A/V to S-video and seperate audio. It does work here, but you have to buy extra cables. And lastly, the remote control is fair.

The multitap does not work. Only one controller is powered, and the other controllers cannot be turned on in any way, shape or form. What is really annoying is that all 4 memory card slots did not work. Score in this type: 0/10 for total worthlessness

As far as an A/V selector, it is worthless without an extra purchase. But then, no complaints. The controller can be used to switch between inputs. It has one A/V and/or S-video out and three A/V and/or S-Video in. One port is the same as that on the PS2, and a male-to male cable of that type is provided. Rating in this field: 5/10 for minor scam

The controller is nice and compact looking, but is not that functional. It must be pionted to the PS2 and be held down to get a response on the screen. It comes in a slot on the side of the multitap, and can be put back for storage. The nice feature about this is that it can be used to change between A/V inputs on the A/V selector. Controller rating: 5/10 for lack of signal reception.

Overall, this product was not worth my money. Its multitap funtionality was nil, "cables not included" not said on A/V selector, and its controller is not worth the hassle. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

The multi-tap connects right under your Slim PS2. Takes up very little space. I gave it 4 stars only because out of 200 + games I have, 2 games didn't work with it (super monkey ball dx is one of them). I wish it was compatible with all the games. Also, the multi-tap does not connect to the PS2, it just sits under it, if you pull the controller, the PS2 can slide off.
