amazing September 4, 2008 Since I main Ness is Super Smash Bros. (64 and Brawl) I decided to try EarthBound. I had tried to play it on my computer, and didn't like it. But then I actually bought the cart (Lucky enough to get it relatively cheap for what it's worth, $54) and It is easily one of my favorite games ever. at first, the 1st person view of the battle seems dumb, but you grow to love it. The battle system is great, and it's a pretty long game. Easily my favorite RPG, rivaled on by maybe the original Pokemon Red/Blue. Unlike other games of it's time, EarthBound takes place in a recent time period, in 90s Eagleland (America :P ). No dragons or anything like that, weapons like yo-yos, baseball bats, and frying pans. The music is amazing, as well. For more detailed info, you should visit Starmen.net This game is HIGHLY recommended if you can find it for a good price.
Greatest game of all time July 22, 2008 Seriously. I'm not even going to go into detail about the millions of ways in which this game is awesome. All I am going to say is, I have played all the way through this game at LEAST seven or eight times, and still manage to keep going back and playing through it again and again, while never getting sick of it. Earthbound is an epic win, as far as I'm concerned, and if you haven't played it, you're stupid. Be smart. Buy a copy of this game. Now.
My Favorite Game April 22, 2008 This is the greatest game. Dead serious, since the days of the SNES, video game consoles have come along so far and yet nothing since has ever really topped this game. The same infinte replay value as Super Mario Brothers, Sonic the Hedgehog and Tetris. Every few years I bust out the SNES and Earthbound and nobody sees me for a week or so.
Good game, classic April 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found this game very enjoyable. It takes me back to the good old days of retro-RPG's. Good times.
I love this game! 100 star rating! July 10, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
By far the best rpg I have ever played. Instead of a fantasy location, you are in modern day setting, and you go shopping for weapons and healing items at stores and resteraunts. There's cool zanieness in it too. For instance, in Fourside, there is a meeting of the game desingers, but you can't go in. There are random times a camera guy comes and takes pictures, and sometimes the characters talk to you(the person playing the game.)
It's just so awesome. I so wish they would make it for Gameboy.
