Product Description
Create Your Dream City on the Pocket PC! Be the undisputed ruler of a sophisticated real-time simulated city. Become the master of existing ones or get creative and start building your own dream city from the ground up. Whether you take over an existing one or you decide to build your own, you are the Mayor and City Planner with complete autonomy. Your city is populated by Sims (Simulated Citizens). Like their human counterparts, they build house, condos, churches, stores and factories. And, also like humans, they complain about things like taxes, mayors, and city planners. If they get too unhappy, they move out, you collect less taxes, and the city deteriorates. Features: Inter-compatible with SimCity 2000, PC version. Play anywhere with any device! 5 out of 5 stars SimCity in Your Pocket   January 14, 2003

The game is a faithful reproduction of the PC version of SC2K. All functionality is present, even if a bit more cumbersome to access on the smaller screen. Everything from the opening music, to the newspaper stories, all the way up to the Arcos is included.

One word of caution to prospective buyers...thus far I have been unable to find a way to multitask while playing this game (played on a Toshiba e310). While the game is running, the ability to access other PDA functions seems to be disabled.

That said, SimCity fans will not be disappointed. The graphics are very sharp and the interface is quite friendly (even if a little different from the PC version).

4 out of 5 stars Excellent game but difficult to play   March 1, 2002

I have played this game for a couple of weeks now and it is still enjoyable. I understood how to play with the excellent manual but it is too large to print and only comes in the Adobe Acrobat Reader. There is no tutorial, but the game was easy to get the hang of. It takes awhile to build the city that you were hoping to build but when you finish the project, it is fun to keep your city going for many years. You can select many different disasters that can happen to your city so that you're not always bored waiting for the money to rack up. Overall, this is the best game I have played for the pocket pc; seriously.
